About RRB ALP Exam
The RRB ALP Exam, or the Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot Exam, is a computer-based test conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) in India to recruit candidates for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) and Technicians. The exam is conducted in four phases:
CBT 1: This is the first phase of the RRB ALP Exam and consists of 75 questions,75 marks in 60 minutes. The questions are objective in nature and cover topics such as General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness on Current Affairs.
CBT 2: This is the second phase of the RRB ALP Exam and consists Part A has four subjects - Mathematics, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness of 100 Questions in 90 min. and Part B consists of questions from the relevant trade of 75 Questions in 60 minutes.
CBAT: The candidates need to score a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer Based Aptitude Test.
Medical Examination: This is the final phase of the RRB ALP Exam and is conducted to assess the candidate's physical fitness for the post.
